Workplaces:  Hard Hat Cats adapt well to various workplaces, which provide food and shelter in exchange for the cats’ toil.  Our cats work in breweries, distilleries, hotels, retail stores, luxury buildings, and gardens.

Mission: We are dedicated to cat rescue and the elimination of rat poison. We place feral cats from the New York animal shelter in steady “jobs” where the cats live healthy, independent lives doing what they do best: rodent control.  Nature has the patent on this solution.

A win-win-win for the cats, employers, and the planet.

Our Work: We find the right cat for the job!   We help integrate the cat into its new surroundings and provide adopters with written guidelines, hands-on help, and ongoing assistance to ensure good cat care. 

Please Note: We place cats only from the city shelter and do not place cats from other rescue organizations. We encourage other rescuers to use our Guidelines (See Menu) to find viable workplaces for working cats.
